Authenticated file disclosure via absolute path traversal
Published Nov 6, 2025 · Updated Nov 6, 2025
Absolute path traversal in Advantech WebAccess/VPN before 1.1.5 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files. AjaxStandaloneVpnClientsController.ajaxDownloadRoadWarriorConfigFileAction() accepts an absolute path without confining it to the intended configuration directory and returns the referenced file. Network-administrator privileges are required, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the www-data account.
