Authenticated command execution via wizard parameters
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2026
OS command injection in Nagios XI before 2026R1 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as the nagios user. The monitoringwizard.php handler passes unneutralized database and query values into service-check command arguments, allowing shell delimiters to introduce additional commands. Administrative wizard access and valid session state are required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary system commands on the host with nagios-account privileges.
