Root code execution via unverified build dependencies
Published Sep 29, 2025 · Updated Sep 29, 2025
CI/CD weaknesses in affected Vasion Print Application and Virtual Appliance Host builds allow remote attackers to execute code as root. The va-build-node.sh provisioner installs a VirtualBox Extension Pack fetched over HTTP without signature validation, while Docker Compose runs an unpinned third-party image and grants Jenkins passwordless mount access. Man-in-the-middle attackers can replace the downloaded pack, and Jenkins users can bind-mount a shell over mount to obtain root access and compromise produced appliance images.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
