CVE-2025-34208Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Password recovery via unsalted fast hashes

Published Oct 2, 2025 · Updated Oct 2, 2025

Unsalted password hashing in Vasion Print Application and Virtual Appliance Host allows attackers with database access to recover passwords. server_write_requests_users.php and legacy/Login.php pass passwords directly to PHP hash() with SHA-512 or legacy SHA-1 and no per-user salt. Exploitation requires prior access to the password database and enables offline dictionary or rainbow-table recovery of cleartext credentials.
