Published Sep 9, 2025 · Updated Sep 9, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in the Suricata package for Netgate pfSense CE 7.0.8_2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts. The /suricata/suricata_app_parsers.php page stores policy_name input and renders the saved value into HTML without output encoding. Access requires at least the WebCfg - Services: suricata package permission, and exploitation executes in a user’s browser when the affected page is viewed.
