CVE-2025-34158Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Owner-token disclosure via unauthorized account response

Published Aug 21, 2025 · Updated Jan 2, 2026

Incorrect resource transfer in Plex Media Server 1.41.7.x through 1.42.0.x allows remote authenticated users to obtain owner access tokens. The /myplex/account endpoint returns the server owner's account details and administrative token instead of rejecting requests authenticated by non-owner users. Shared-server access is sufficient to assume owner privileges and enumerate or access other servers available to that owner.
