Unauthenticated root command execution via time parameter
Published Aug 7, 2025 · Updated Dec 1, 2025
OS command injection in all Shenzhen Aitemi M300 Wi-Fi Repeater firmware versions allows remote attackers to execute commands as root via HTTP. The /protocol.csp time_conf handler inserts the untrusted time parameter into a date -s shell command and passes it to doSystemCmdComlib without neutralization. The unauthenticated management endpoint is reachable from an adjacent network, and successful commands run as root without a reboot, HTTP outage, or network configuration change.
