CVE-2025-34132Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated root command execution via NTPUpdate

Published Jul 16, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2026

OS command injection in Merit LILIN DVR firmware before 2.0b60_20200207 allows remote attackers to execute commands as root via DVRPOST. In /z/zbin/dvr_box, dvr_serv::do_request passes the XML NTPUpdate Server value through dvr_core::NTPUpdate to UtilityNtp::run, which concatenates it into an NTP command without filtering special characters. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation grants root-level control of the recorder.
