Code execution via oversized object sprite name

Stack-based buffer overflow in Heroes of Might and Magic III affected Windows builds allows attackers to execute code via a malicious .h3m map. During map loading, the object-attributes parser trusts a crafted sprite-name length and copies the entry past a stack buffer, overwriting saved control data. Opening and starting the map in the game is required; successful exploitation runs shellcode in the victim's game process.
