Command injection in Netcore Technology and Netis router firmware released before August 2014 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. An undocumented service on UDP port 53413 accepts the hardcoded string netcore to unlock a command handler, then passes subsequent packet data to the device shell without neutralization. No credentials or user interaction are required; successful exploitation grants privileged router control, although nonstandard echo behavior blocks the published Metasploit payload on some models.
