Unauthenticated SYSTEM code execution via oversized GET path
Published Jul 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in DiskBoss Enterprise 7.4.28, 7.5.12, and 8.2.14 allows remote attackers to execute code via HTTP GET. The built-in web server fails to bound the request path before stack storage, allowing a crafted URI to overwrite control data. No authentication or user interaction is required when the management web interface is reachable, and successful exploitation runs code with SYSTEM privileges.
