CVE-2025-34104Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via malicious plugin activation

Published Jul 15, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2026

Unrestricted plugin upload in Matomo Analytics before 3.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code via a crafted ZIP. CorePluginsAdmin::uploadPlugin accepts a custom plugin ZIP whose main PHP class can place attacker-controlled code in its install method, which runs when the plugin is activated. Exploitation requires Superuser access and a web-server-writable application directory; the uploaded PHP executes with the web server process's privileges.
