Remote code execution via oversized Email parameter
Published Jul 10, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Easy File Sharing HTTP Server 7.2 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted POST request. The /sendemail.ghp handler processes an overly long Email parameter without adequate length validation, corrupting stack memory and enabling control-flow redirection. The endpoint is reachable without authentication, and successful exploitation runs code with the privileges of the server process.
