Unauthenticated command execution via persisted Lua code
Published Jul 10, 2025 · Updated May 14, 2026
OS command injection in Real Time Logic Mako Server 2.5 through 2.6 allows remote attackers to execute commands through the tutorial interface. The examples/save.lsp endpoint persists a PUT body as Lua code, and examples/manage.lsp later evaluates it, including os.execute() calls. No authentication is required, but the tutorial application and both endpoints must be loaded and network-reachable; commands run with the server process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
