Authenticated command execution via unsanitized ping parameter
Published Jul 3, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
OS command injection in Pandora FMS 7.0NG and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through network tools. The net_tools.php handler passes the select_ips parameter into a system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters, so a prefixed semicolon starts an attacker-supplied command. Administrative console access to the network-tools operation is required; successful commands run with the Web Console service's privileges and can read or alter host data or interrupt service.
