Administrative access via unauthenticated proxy forwarding
Published Jul 2, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025
Authentication bypass in GFI Software Kerio Control 9.4.5 allows remote attackers to gain administrative access via proxy forwarding. The default-enabled proxy on TCP port 3128 forwards requests to unauthenticated GFIAgent services, and the RemoteServer /proxy handler relays appliance UUID-bearing requests to the administrative portal. The attacker must reach the proxy or GFIAgent ports; successful exploitation permits administrative requests that can change appliance configuration.
