CVE-2025-34066Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Man-in-the-middle data exposure via disabled certificate checks

Published Jul 1, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026

Improper certificate validation in AVTECH surveillance devices allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept cloud-sync HTTPS traffic. SyncCloudAccount.sh, QueryFromClient.sh, and SyncPermit.sh invoke wget with --no-check-certificate, causing the client to accept untrusted server certificates. An attacker must control the network path when a device contacts an HTTPS service; captured or modified cloud-sync data is the bounded consequence.
