Unauthenticated root command execution via language path
Published Jun 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
OS command injection in Shenzhen TVT CCTV-DVR allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root through its web interface. Cross Web Server passes the unescaped language path segment from /language/[lang]/index.html into a tar extraction command. No authentication or user interaction is required; network access to TCP port 81 or 82 permits full control of the DVR.
