Unauthenticated root command execution via unsanitized path
Published Jun 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
OS command injection in EnGenius EnShare 1.4.11 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root. usbinteract.cgi inserts the unauthenticated path parameter into a shell command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. A network-reachable EnShare service is sufficient; a crafted POST to the CGI endpoint grants complete control of the router.
