CVE-2025-34028Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via package extraction traversal

Published Apr 22, 2025 · Updated Nov 29, 2025

Path traversal in Commvault Command Center Innovation Release 11.38.0 through 11.38.19 allows remote attackers to execute code. The unauthenticated deployWebpackage.do handler fetches an attacker-hosted ZIP, and deployCCPackage uses the servicePack value without constraining the extraction path, placing a malicious JSP in a web-served directory. Network access to Command Center is sufficient to run the JSP under the web server account and compromise that installation.
