Incorrect authorization in GitLab EE allows remote authenticated users to bypass group-level forking restrictions through crafted API requests. The group-level forking control fails to reject manipulated API requests, but GitLab has not disclosed the affected endpoint, request field, or faulty authorization operation. A project owner account and an enabled group restriction are required; the bypass permits a project fork outside the group and disclosure of repository content.
