Authenticated arbitrary file write via crafted upload ID
Published Apr 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2025
Path traversal in Youkefu 4.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to write uploaded files outside the intended directory via a crafted ID. The File Upload code in WebIMController.java uses the attacker-controlled ID to construct an upload path without restricting parent-directory traversal. A valid low-privilege session is required, and the demonstrated consequence is an arbitrary file write rather than proven code execution.
