CVE-2025-3360Network attack vector

Service interruption via ISO 8601 length overflow

Published Apr 7, 2025 · Updated Jun 30, 2026

Integer overflow in GLib before 2.82.5 allows remote attackers to interrupt applications by supplying a long invalid ISO 8601 timestamp. g_date_time_new_from_iso8601() stores the input and date-part lengths in signed integers, allowing extreme lengths to wrap before buffer offsets are calculated. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled timestamp text to this API; the bounded impact is process or service interruption.
