CVE-2025-3324Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file upload via missing type validation

Published Apr 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in Code Projects Nimrod 0.8 allows remote authenticated users to upload arbitrary files through its web API. The upload_one handler in FileRestController passes the multipart file to fileService.uploadOne, which renames it without validating its type. A valid JSESSIONID is required; a crafted JSP places attacker-controlled server-side code on the host, while execution depends on upload storage and serving behavior.
