CVE-2025-33230Hinoki check available

Privilege escalation via installer path command injection

Published Jan 20, 2026 · Updated Jan 20, 2026

OS command injection in the Nsight Systems .run installer in NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit before 13.1 allows local users to execute commands. The installer fails to neutralize shell metacharacters in an attacker-supplied installation path before using the path in an OS command. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and user interaction and can run code with elevated installer privileges, enabling data access, modification, or service interruption.
