Authenticated SQL injection via unparameterized name search
Published Apr 6, 2025 · Updated Jul 17, 2025
SQL injection in Code Projects Nimrod 0.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through the name-search endpoint. ViewMenuCategoryRestController.searchAllByName passes the q parameter to the service, which splices the unfiltered, non-precompiled value into a database query. A valid session is required; injected queries can read sensitive database data.
