Authentication bypass in IBM Storage Protect Server 8.1 through 8.1.26 allows remote attackers to access unauthorized resources. A built-in administrative account accepts an improperly authenticated session created by a modified IBM Storage Protect client. Exploitation requires a tampered client and collusion with a Storage Protect administrator holding System privilege, after which administrative resources and operations become accessible.
