CVE-2025-33109Network attack vector

Privilege escalation via incomplete database authority check

Published Jul 24, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Privilege escalation in IBM’s operating system releases 7.2 through 7.6 allows remote authenticated users to run unauthorized database routines. A database authority check fails to verify all permissions required for the requested procedure or function. Low-privileged network access is required, and some database actions can also interrupt service.
