CVE-2025-33108Network attack vector

Privilege escalation via library-unqualified call

Published Jun 14, 2025 · Updated Aug 24, 2025

Privilege escalation in IBM BRMS 7.4 and 7.5 allows remote authenticated users to run privileged code through a crafted library. A BRMS program makes a library-unqualified call that resolves to user-controlled code instead of the intended trusted object. Exploitation requires an account able to compile or restore a program; successful execution grants BRMS component access to the host operating system.
