Code execution via missing Mark-of-the-Web propagation
Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Oct 24, 2025
Mark-of-the-Web bypass in Bandisoft Bandizip 7.37 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code after a malicious archive is opened. Bandizip fails to copy the archive's Zone.Identifier alternate data stream to extracted executable content, so Windows treats that content as locally sourced. A user must obtain and open the crafted archive and then launch its extracted payload; execution occurs with the current user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
