Command injection in Siemens RUGGEDCOM ROX II before 2.16.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code as root. The tcpdump tool in the device web interface passes attacker-controlled input without server-side sanitization, allowing shell metacharacters to reach command execution. Exploitation requires a legitimate, highly privileged web-interface account and grants control of the underlying operating environment.
