CVE-2025-33023Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file write via unrestricted web upload

Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in Siemens RUGGEDCOM ROX II devices allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary files via the web interface. The Install Files feature accepts content without validating its extension, magic bytes, type, or size and stores it on the device filesystem. A legitimate highly privileged web-interface account and network access are required; the bounded impact is an arbitrary filesystem write.
