CVE-2025-33012Network attack vector

Authenticated account-lockout bypass using expired passwords

Published Nov 7, 2025 · Updated Nov 7, 2025

Improper account lockout in affected IBM Db2 for Linux servers allows remote authenticated users to regain access with an expired password. The account-lockout path accepts a password after its expiration date and restores access, but IBM has not disclosed the responsible function or validation error. Exploitation requires valid credentials for an account that has been locked and restores access to that locked account.
