CVE-2025-32989Network attack vector

Information disclosure via unchecked SCT length

Published Jul 10, 2025 · Updated Sep 1, 2026

Heap-buffer over-read in GnuTLS before 3.8.10 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory via a malformed certificate SCT extension. In gnutls_x509_ext_ct_import_scts, the parser trusted a two-byte SCT list length without checking it against the decoded extension buffer size before _gnutls_parse_ct_sct read onward. Exposure requires an application to parse an attacker-controlled X.509 certificate containing the SCT extension, and the consequence is limited to reading adjacent heap data.
