Programming-right escalation via missing component analyzer
Published Apr 30, 2025 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Privilege escalation in CryptPad XWiki Platform allows remote authenticated users with page-edit rights to gain programming rights. The required-rights analysis lacks an analyzer for XWiki.ComponentClass objects, so a privileged edit silently registers an attacker-supplied component with programming rights. Exploitation requires edit rights and a programming-rights user to edit the planted page, after which the object can execute privileged wiki code.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
