Search-index disruption via stale author-rights check
Published Apr 30, 2025 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Incorrect authorization in affected XWiki Platform releases allows remote authenticated users with script rights to alter Solr search indexes. SolrIndexScriptService checks programming rights against the document author instead of the permission-restricted execution context after dropPermissions(). A caller also needs wiki administration rights for the target index; successful calls can add indexing load or temporarily remove documents from search results.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
