CVE-2025-32952Network attack vector

Storage exhaustion via unbounded local file uploads

Published Apr 22, 2025 · Updated May 27, 2025

Denial of service in Jmix 1.0.0 through 1.6.1 and 2.0.0 through 2.3.4 allows remote authenticated users to exhaust server storage. LocalFileStorage.saveStream passes the uploaded input stream to IOUtils.copyLarge without a byte limit, allowing the write to continue until storage is consumed. The application UI and generic REST API typically require authentication, while the /files endpoint requires specific permission and is disabled by default; successful exploitation interrupts service with HTTP 500 errors.
