Sensitive-data disclosure via broad package permissions
Published May 22, 2025 · Updated May 22, 2025
Incorrect permissions in Checkmk automatic agent updates allow local users to read secrets from downloaded Linux or Solaris packages. The Agent Bakery stores installation-candidate packages with permissions broad enough for other host users to read embedded configuration secrets. Exposure requires Automatic Agent Updates to be configured and low-privileged local access to an affected host; no integrity or availability impact is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
