Client crash via null pointer dereference

NULL pointer dereference in SoupContentSniffer before 3.6.2 allows remote attackers controlling an HTTP server to crash libsoup clients. The sniff_mp4 function in soup-content-sniffer.c dereferences a null pointer while sniffing an MP4 response; public sources do not disclose the malformed structure that produces the null value. Reachability requires a client to request content from the malicious server and invoke content sniffing, and the documented consequence is limited to that client's crash.
