Device unpairing via spoofed discovery packet
Published Dec 5, 2025 · Updated Dec 5, 2025
Improper state handling in KDE Connect for Android before 1.33.0 allows remote attackers to unpair paired devices via broadcast UDP. The Android discovery handler treats an invalid unauthenticated packet as an unpairing event for the packet's claimed device identity. An attacker must share the local network and spoof a paired device's identity; successful exploitation interrupts the established pairing until it is recreated.
