CVE-2025-32882

Message tampering via missing ciphertext integrity checks

Published May 1, 2025 · Updated May 1, 2025

Missing integrity checking in goTenna v1 app 5.5.3 and firmware 0.25.5 allows attackers to alter encrypted messages via radio access. The custom encryption implementation applies confidentiality without an additional message-integrity check, leaving intercepted messages malleable. Exploitation requires adjacent access to a message; the published impact is message alteration, with no reported disclosure or service interruption.
