Missing authentication in COROS PACE 3 firmware through 3.1008.0 allows physically proximate attackers to control the watch over BLE. Its GATT services and characteristics permit reads, writes, and notifications without authentication or a required security level. The watch must be advertising with no phone connected; an attacker in Bluetooth range can alter settings, inject notifications, reset it, or install software.
