CVE-2025-32808Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Grade forgery via client-trusted Score objects

Published Apr 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 11, 2025

Access-control bypass in W. W. Norton & Company InQuizitive through 2025-04-08 allows remote authenticated users to forge quiz records. Globally accessible Score objects let students alter score, grade, time, question-history, and completion fields before Score.write_score() sends them to a backend that performs no integrity validation. A valid student session and browser developer tools suffice to record perfect completion and, when LMS integration is enabled, propagate the falsified grade to the connected gradebook.
