Stored XSS via unsanitized subscribed-list address

Published Oct 27, 2025 · Updated Oct 27, 2025

Stored XSS in Pi-hole Web Interface before 6.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The Subscribed Lists Address field accepts script tags and other special characters without adequate sanitization, then renders the stored value during a gravity database update. Low-privilege access is required to create or edit a list entry, and another authenticated user must open Tools and initiate the update.
