Unauthenticated private-message disclosure via farm-wide audience routing
Published Apr 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Information disclosure in XWiki Platform 5.0 through 16.7.1 allows remote attackers to read private subwiki messages through the main wiki. Message Stream routes messages addressed to “everyone” from a closed subwiki to the entire farm, and the main-wiki Dashboard renders them to visitors. Exploitation requires Message Stream enabled on a closed subwiki and a message addressed to everyone; disclosure is read-only.
