CVE-2025-32724Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated denial of service via LDAP referral lists

Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Feb 20, 2026

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Windows LSASS allows remote attackers to crash affected domain controllers through LDAP referrals. The Windows LDAP client accepts referral lists without size or length limits and retains every referral URL in heap memory until the list is exhausted. Unauthenticated network access to a domain controller is sufficient; repeated huge lists exhaust memory and crash LSASS, forcing a reboot or BSOD.
