Unauthenticated code execution via RD Gateway race
Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Feb 20, 2026
Use-after-free in Microsoft Windows Remote Desktop Services allows remote attackers to execute code through an RD Gateway connection. A connection attempt to a server with the RD Gateway role can win a race that leaves Remote Desktop Services using freed memory. Exploitation is unauthenticated and requires winning the race; successful memory corruption grants code execution on the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
