CVE-2025-32703

Local ETW trace disclosure via granular access failure

Published May 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2026

Information disclosure in Microsoft Visual Studio affected releases allows local users to access ETW traces without administrator awareness. The installation grants local users access to ETW tracing without adequately notifying the administrator who installs the IDE. A low-privileged account on the same Windows host is required, and exploitation exposes trace contents without changing data or interrupting service.
