CVE-2025-32699Network attack vector

Cross-site scripting via unescaped combining character

Published Apr 10, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Cross-site scripting in affected MediaWiki and Parsoid releases allows remote attackers to run JavaScript through crafted Action API input. The HTML serializer leaves U+0338 unescaped, so later NFC normalization can change already-sanitized output into executable markup. Exploitation requires active user interaction with attacker-controlled API output, and the reported consequence is modification of content or behavior in that user's browser.
