CVE-2025-32682Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated server code execution via unchecked SVG upload

Published Apr 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Unrestricted file upload in RomanCode MapSVG 8.6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute server code through a crafted upload. The uploadSVG method behind /wp-json/mapsvg/v1/svgfile passes the supplied filename and contents to wp_upload_bits without file-type, extension, or content validation. Subscriber-level access and a WordPress REST nonce are required; a successful upload places an executable PHP web shell in the site's MapSVG uploads directory.
